Because we wanted this two-bedroom apartment on the 52nd floor of a San Francisco skyscraper to feel like a timeless house, we gutted it, reconfigured the layout, finessed the sight lines, and designed a new kitchen and baths, all with classical details. Given the endless vistas of water and sky, we brought the exterior into play by using variations of the color blue throughout.
